Okay!

Wed Jul 22, 2009, 6:18 PM
Time to scrap my current journal. It's been in place far too long.

Not overmuch news here. Been working, drawing, writing, and working on starting up a custom perfumery. Yays~

Commissions~!

Mon Jan 26, 2009, 6:47 AM
Edit: Okay, slight delays. My tablet pen is somewhere in the van and I cannot find it at the moment. Once it decides to make an appearance, I'll get back to finishing the commissions.

oO8Oo

SO I got the boot from college. Hit hard by last minute sleep issues, and I was already shaky due to having been sick so much last year. Alas, I didn't quite make it, so I am back in DC.

Going to try to get that job at GraphicAudio, but that means I'm gonna have to crash-course my art and improve as much as possible in a short of a time as possible.

Which means... COMMISSIONS!

Due to my current lack of fundage, these will be paid commissions. You can request most anything you want, though at the moment there are five styles of commission, simply to try to judge prices.

~~~~
Commission styles:
Linework - (Pencil or inked, whichever you prefer, this is going to be lines only. Simple as that.)
Figure coloring - (Scanned and digitally colored/shaded figure with minimal to no background.)
Figure with background - (Scanned and digitally colored, with detailed background added.)
Figure painting - (Digitally painted image, no outlining and a more realistic rendering)
Figure painting with background - (The most realistic and detailed image Complete digital, outline-less painting.)
The works can also be requested large or small.
See pricing system below.
~~~~
Payment:

These vary in speed and thereby prices. I will be charging per effective hour. This means that the price will vary depending on the difficulty of the commission.

"Per effective hour" means that I'll be charging only for hours working solidly and undistracted on the piece, so you don't have to pay for any time I waste.

Payments can be made through Paypal once I set stuff up, or through mail by request.

The current price will be $10 per effective hour.

~~~
Other info:
As these works are going to be primarily digital, I cannot really mail the original work. Instead, I'll send a higher-resolution piece to the commissioner, and only showcase a smaller copy of the work.
By request I can send the commissioner updates on the piece, as well as screenshots, so they can request changes to be made.
~~~~

That's it for now. If you have any questions or would like to commission something, please note me.

Home visits~

Tue Oct 14, 2008, 9:45 PM
Sooooo I managed to, after much worry and uncertainty and general messiness, get plane tickets home to go to Rennfest. Looks like Mary's article prediction (I must scan that someday soon) didn't come true, thankfully, nor the razing of numerous cities.

Almost immediately following my plane landing I proceeded to get kidnapped left and right and north and south and most any direction imaginable. Unfortunately, with the way stuff worked out, (collegebluh and lack of phone and doctor/dental appointments gone awry) I wasn't able to see everybody I wanted/tried to. Many apologies to :iconlahtiirah: , :iconjonnyblackmage:, and Ali (who I also owe many thanks to), as well as quite a few others.

Sooo, to make many long stories short, I have compiled a list to pseudo-summarize my visit.

Bluuuuh~

Sun Sep 28, 2008, 7:59 PM
1. Why did you decide to fill this out? Were you bored?
Yeah, basically.

2. How many people on here do you actually know in reality?
(I'll assume this means physically met, so in alphabetical order....)
:iconcheshireaddict: , :iconcrohan: , :icondontcrymasha: , :icondreamlandmessenger: , :iconeinahpets: , :iconjonnyblackmage: , :iconkarmaneko: , :iconlahtiirah: . :iconlovingthedark: , :iconmars-is-rouge: , :iconpillowsrock: , :iconposhiesovietskii: , :iconrenegadepineapple: , :iconriencarnation: , :iconsenreiwitch: , :iconxanthochrome:
Whew~

3. What do you typically post on deviantart?
Fantasy stuff, digital work, what I feel like uploading, and most of the few things I finish?

4. Tell everyone your favorite song, and why it's your favorite.
If extra instrumentals that are only a part of a song count, the ending to a performance by Loreena McKennit, based off of her piece 'The Old Ways' It never fails to bring tears to my eyes with its sheer beauty and emotion.
If that doesn't count, probably Sarah McLachlan's 'World on Fire', because of the power and the message and saying how we can do so much better.

5. Tell us your favorite color. Is it dark like your personality?
It tends to switch between red, blue, and green. It varies on my mood, really. Typically blue, though.

6. How many pageviews do you have right now? What's your goal?
3,259. No pageview goals, I make art for the sake of making art.

7. Everyone's considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
Nah. I may poof temporarily, or kindof ignore.forget about it for a while, but I've never considered leaving. I rather like it here.

8. What deviant do you admire? Is it because of their art, or their personality?
I have three art idols here.
:iconwen-m: for his amazing attention to detail and originality.
:iconsaimain: for her beautiful paintings and depth.
:iconpuimun: for her creativity and symbolism and patience for her medium.

All of them are friendly people, so I'd have to say both, thought their art originally caught my eye.

9. Tell us about a noob you've helped out.
:iconbluemario: and :iconnomadicpx:, I suppose?

10. What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
Bit of both. I wanted something that incorporated my two favorite creatures, and came up with Lupus Draconis, or 'dragon-like wolf;. It later became a species of mine that I am rather fond of.

11. Tell us your favorite animal and why.
Wolves (and dragons, if they count). They're beautiful and powerful, but more importantly friendly and loyal and know the meaning of both friendship and love.

12. Some people say that they can remember people better if they associate them with an animal or make up a rhyme. Make one for yourself.
...eh?

13. I can speak bits and pieces of different languages. What about you? What are they?
Bits and pieces of Latin and Japanese. I can get the gist of most romance languages, but don't really spek them.

14. How do you feel about your art? Is it where you want it to be, or are you improving?
I'm always improving and working on my technique. At the moment, though, I'm working on improving realism, panelling, and patience for things like coloring.

15. Do you use copics, prismacolours, or any other type of marker?
The only markers I really use are occasional sharpies for random stuff.

16. Wow! Your avatar is adorable! Where'd you get it? And what exactly is it?
I made it myself. I was trying to think of a symbol that incorporated both wolves and dragons, and ended up doing a serpentine wolf eye. The other two black lines are supposed to make the pupil resemble claw marks, but I think that didn't work as well as expected.

17. Was this an interesting tag, or are you bored to pieces?
It was unique, I haven't really seen a tag like this before. It's alright.

HOLY SHIT

Sat Aug 23, 2008, 7:46 PM
Holyshitholyshitholyshitholyshit.

While my internet was down, I worked on a concept design for the main page of the Plagued Horizon site.
While its unfinished (needs filigree, a preview image, and icon, the text on the banner, and the small pictures by menu links), it's pretty close, and last night I showed it to my friend Ducky to see what he thought.

This morning I woke up to an email in my inbox, containing a link.
The link led to this:

While he had no idea what fonts I used, it's still bloody freaking amazing and totally unexpected.

Hahaha, you all should've seen my spaz.

P.S. I'm moved into the dorms and I HAVE INTERNET! Zomg.
